Shipping Starts Mid-July 2008

Irises are live plants (not bulbs) which should be planted in late summer or early autumn. They need to be in the ground at least six to eight weeks prior to the first killing frost in your area. Do not put irises in the refrigerator and do not leave them out of the ground over two weeks.

We hand dig, wash, and tag your new irises. Orders are usually shipped by U.S. Mail within two days of digging.

Early Summer Shipments

Customers in northern states, high-altitude states, and mid-Atlantic states will receive their irises between mid-July and mid-August.

Late Summer Shipments

Other states including Texas will receive their irises between mid-August and late September which is the ideal time to plant or transplant irises in our hot southern soil. If you live in Texas and have not received your shipment by October 1, call us.
