varieties, most of which are Tall Bearded (TB). In addition to an
excellent selection of modern irises, we offer a unique collection of historic
varieties from 30 to several hundred years old. Be sure to check
out rebloomers
(may bloom more than once per year), median
irises (less than 27 inches tall), and particularly fragrant
irises.
For best selection please order in the Spring.
The Smithsonian Institute, an Argyle Acres customer,
planted these and other Argyle Acres irises at the Museum of American
History on the mall in Washington, D.C. Joe took this beautiful
picture with the Washington monument in the background.
Since 1993
we have owned and operated Argyle Acres. Now we are ready to really retire and
hand over this labor of love to Willow Creek Farm and Gardens, LLC.
